Custom wiring harness fabrication, classic car and hot rod rewiring, retrofits, lighting, and audio wiring in Loveland, Colorado.
I build and repair automotive electrical and audio systems for classic cars, hot rods, muscle cars, trucks, and custom builds.
I build wiring harnesses from scratch, laid out for the specific vehicle rather than adapted from something that almost fits. Circuits are sized for their loads, routed deliberately, protected, labeled, and documented.
Complete rewires for vehicles running on tired, brittle, or previously butchered wiring. Sixty year old insulation does not last forever, and neither do the repairs stacked on top of it.
Fuel injection, electronic ignition, electric fans, power windows, modern gauges, and other later model components integrated into older vehicles. The goal is a system that works correctly, not one that merely works.
LED conversions, auxiliary lighting, accent and underbody lighting, and custom switching. Properly fused, properly relayed, properly grounded.
Amplifier power and signal wiring, grounding, shielding, and routing planned before installation rather than corrected afterward.
Shorts, parasitic draws, intermittent faults, and grounding problems. Tracing a fault to its actual cause instead of replacing parts until something changes.
When the project is complete, I provide a final project document detailing the work performed and the electrical system that was built or modified.
Documentation can include:
Work completed
Issues or problems found
Major parts and components used
Electrical modifications made
Circuit information
Relevant wiring and system details
Additional notes specific to the project
The goal is to leave the owner with a useful reference for future maintenance, troubleshooting, modifications, or additions.
Years from now, there should still be a record of what was done, what was found, what components were used, and how the system was put together.
The job doesn't end when the wiring is finished. Documentation is part of the project.
A high-quality audio installation requires more than simply connecting an amplifier, speakers, and power.
Power wiring, signal wiring, grounding, shielding, and routing all play a role in the performance of an audio system.
Where appropriate, I use shielded wiring and carefully planned routing and separation of power and signal paths to help minimize unwanted electrical interference, noise, and signal contamination.
